She probably wouldn't have even recognized him if she'd run into him in the plaza or somewhere in public.]

[Quiet amusement behind her voice.]

[Shulk nods, before leaning forward to put down the pencil.]

Yeah, I can.

[Thankfully. He smiles.]

I'm glad you're okay. Someone I know is a bird right now.

A bird, huh . . . ?

[It still sounds like him and the smile even looks like him, so it's easy for Yukari to remain in a comfort zone where it's not really that awkward.

. . . Even though she's talking to a pony.]

Sounds pretty serious. But flying might be nice.

[Normally this is where Shulk would scratch the back of his head, but... he's a pony. Imagine what it'd look like if you tried to scratch the back of your head with a hoof. Yeah. He gives a slightly disgruntled look at his hoof before turning his attention back to the SFC.]

Actually... I don't think he can fly. But he sort of still has hands, so he's okay.

[That is a combination of awkward and adorable she never thought she'd see. But Yukari still grins easily, amused.]

Well, that's good -- for him.

[Shulk briefly glances down at his hooves before turning his attention back to the SFC.]

It's a little weird, but I'll manage. It's only for a week.

Yeah. I guess I lucked out.

[Yukari tilts her head a bit, watching him as he examines his hooves.]

I'd offer some advice, but I've honestly never been a pony before.

[Heh.]

I think most people who aren't ponies haven't been a pony before.

[A grin.]

[He may be right -- but that makes Shulk an exception then, doesn't it?

Yukari nods back, smiling.]

[Hmm, now that she's thinking about it . . .]

Where've you been staying, anyway?

[Shulk puts his hoof to his chin as he thinks.]

Uh. I think it's the first...

...apartment on the first floor of Pendilium.

[Ah. Yukari gives him another nod, clearly showing some familiarity with the place in question.]

I haven't been there, but I've passed it enough times. I'm pretty sure it's near the library.
