Visions of the Unknown Future
In canon, Shulk has the ability to see visions of characters' futures. When he has a vision, it's like time has stopped while his vision plays in slow motion in his mind. Unfortunately, at the moment, Shulk has absolutely no control over these visions. Visions can be triggered by anything from:
...Yeah they kind of happen whenever they want to. His visions are VERY brief, lasting a few seconds at best. The kinds of things his visions show him range from:
His visions will only show him things that may happen in Vatheon. Shulk won't see anything to do with a character's future in their world. Thus, his visions can also work on characters who are canonically dead.
Note: I will always ask before Shulk has a vision involving your character! But if you want to initiate the conversation and do some plotting involving his visions, feel free to use this post!
- Talking to someone, or encountering them for the first time.
- Touching an item.
- Dreaming.
- Battle.
- JUST STANDING THERE AND BREATHING.
...Yeah they kind of happen whenever they want to. His visions are VERY brief, lasting a few seconds at best. The kinds of things his visions show him range from:
- Knowing someone will need a particular item before they make the request from him. This can apply even before he's met the person!
- Knowing the outcome of an event. For example, he can see that the person he's talking to will get into a fight with their best friend if he solves their problem the way he originally intended to.
- Knowing what attack his opponent will do, allowing him to react more quickly. This doesn't mean he suddenly becomes a flawless fighter; he doesn't have visions of every attack and he's currently still really crappy at fighting, so he might not have the skill to avoid the attack.
